Details. That is what an event is all about. Hundreds of details. It is perhaps the finest detail that can separate one event from the next. Something as simple as a napkin fold, or a sparkling Swarovski crystal on the back of a chair cover. It is all about the details.

 Our own Director of Sales, Joseph LaViola recently celebrated his engagement to Sonia Miceli with close family and friends in the Parkview Room at the West River Event Centre. 

Their intimate affair featured a theme prevalent in their Italian heritage…wine. They focused on the small details of their event to subtly feature their theme. 

Guests were greeted by custom wine corks as their place card holders, and they arrived to their square dinner tables, each named after a favourite wine of the couple. 

  

The floral centrepieces were designed by D&D Floral Designs and had fresh grapes peaking through the arrangements.  The contemporary chocolate brown suede linens, and beige satin napkins - provided by Have a Seat - added balanced earth tones to the room.

  

The flavourful and delicately presented dinner menu featured a different wine pairing with each course.   And as a parting gift, guests were given wine decanters.

   

The detailed focus extended onto the younger generation as well, who enjoyed an elegant twist on a classic kid's meal, and their own gaming station to keep their little hands busy! 

  

Fine details have a way of subtly injecting appreciation and wonder in your guests.  When it comes to planning your event, be sure to pay attention to these small details. It is, after all, the small things that matter the most.
